Depending on the waterlevel transfer to Stung Treng, either by boat or pickup truck. By local speedboat to the Cambodian-Lao border. Transfer to Khong Island is part of the 4000 islands region of Siphandone. Explore Khong Island by bicycle, or take a boat trip to visit several nearby islands. Travel to Boloven Plateau & visit Wat Phou, a Khmer temple dating from the 5th century and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stay at Tad Fane Resort near the Tad Fane waterfalls. Optional half-day walk to Dan Sin Say, a plateau with fir trees, weird rock formations and wild orchids. Transfer to Pakse.
